I love the photo...don't get me wrong.
I was talking about this painting, American Gothic, yesterday.
Yesterday!
I was telling someone that it amazed me on my first trip to Chicago to walk into the Chicago Institute of Art and two hours later stumbling upon this relic in a room full of "non-famous" pieces of art.

I was blown away at it's "Pizza Pocket regularity" as it hung with it's ugly sisters and brothers in a non-descript room.

I like the painting WAY better with you two in it!
