Totally awesome giant vinyl stickers 4

Posted by dmisener on March 01, 2007

From one of her design blogs, Jenna sent me a link to the Vynil collection, which is basically a bunch of really cool, huge vinyl stickers for your wall.

Vynil turns the « wall space » into a playground where composition and story telling are open for innovation.Free yourself from the constraints brought upon you by wall paper and let the Vynil collection, beyond the sheer practical benefits that it brings – you no longer need glue nor a specific table – help you rethink the importance and role of the ornamental motive for your home.

I want one.

I like Jungle gold, while Jenna is partial to Jungle frame. We both agree the Measuring plant is pretty cool.

    That’s some fugly stuff, dude.

I guess if you like having white walls, this is a step up.

What’s the point of the stereo stickers? (the “coolest” one by the way - next to “Flexions”) “If I could afford an entertainment system, this is where I’d put it”?

It kind of scares me, but I sort of agree with Phil. Yikes.

Some of the stuff is kind of neat (I like the “growth tree” quite a bit, actually), but those faux-stereo equipment stickers just seem very ugly, not to mention a very inefficient use of shelf space. That is, unless, the point of putting up the stickers is some sort of statement against owning “stuff,” in which case you can easily do that without dropping 51 Euros on a bunch of stickers.

Wow, I even sound like Phil. Yikes.

ya, that stuff looks dumb… like a bunch of new age hookie. Anyway, I’m not into that slick offwhite trend going around. Though my good friend Fost does faux finishes and he did a pretty cool design in a couple of his rooms… anyway, don’t buy all that sucky crap.
